🎯 Eligibility & Categories (Classes 8–10 focus)

  • Category I: Classes 6–8 (Class 8 fits here)
  • Category II: Classes 9–11 (Classes 9–10 fit here)
  • Team: up to 2 students from the same category + 1 mentor science teacher
  • Max teams per school: 2

📦 Exhibit Size & Setup

  • Max footprint: 36 in (depth) × 48 in (width) × 5 ft (height above table)
  • Use eco‑friendly materials; bring your own tools/consumables.

  • Creativity & imagination – 20%
  • Originality & innovativeness – 15%
  • Scientific thought / principle / approach – 15%
  • Technical skills / workmanship – 15%
  • Educational value, scalability & societal utility – 15%
  • Economics (low cost), portability & durability – 10%
  • Presentation & explanation – 10%

➡️ Progression & Recognition

  • Regional → National selections (best ~14 exhibits per regional venue).
  • National winners may be recommended to Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (RBVP) 2026 and may get direct entry consideration for IRIS National Fair 2025–26 (subject to selection).

How to Register (School Checklist)

  1. Visit the CBSE Science Exhibition portal.
  2. Register your school, select Category I or II, and pay the ₹3,000 fee online.
  3. Enter team (2 students + mentor) names and choose one sub‑theme (cannot be changed later).
  4. Upload project synopsis and track venue/date updates by email & microsite.

For Classes 8–10: Quick Project Ideas (aligned to sub‑themes)

  • Class 8 (Cat‑I): Low‑cost grey‑water filter; plastic‑free lunch initiative (waste audit + prototype).
  • Class 9: Solar tracker using microcontroller & LDRs (Green energy); AI vision cane (assistive tech).
  • Class 10: IoT rainwater level monitor; bio‑enzyme based compost accelerator.
