🎓 Eligibility Criteria (Verified)

JEE Main (as per latest available bulletin)

  • Subjects: Class 12 with Physics & Mathematics + one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotech/Technical subject. jeemain.nta.ac.in
  • Year of passing: For 2024, eligible years were 2022/2023 or appearing in 2024 (expect similar rule in 2026; check the new bulletin when out).
  • Age limit: No upper age limit for appearing in JEE Main (institutes may set age norms at admission).
  • Attempts: Two sessions in the year; best score used for rank.

JEE Advanced (2025 rules—pattern remains similar year to year)

  • Main performance: Within top ~2.5 lakh (category-wise distribution) in JEE Main.
  • Class 12 first appearance: 2024 or 2025 for JEE Advanced 2025; expect analogous offset for 2026.
  • Attempts: Maximum 2 attempts in two consecutive years.
  • Already admitted to IIT: Generally ineligible to re-appear (see brochure clauses).
