📅 Dates (Level‑2) — 2025–26

  • IEO/NSO/IMO Level‑2: SOF states that “Dates for 2nd level exam will be announced by January 2026.” Schools/students should watch the official Exam Schedule page.
  • Single‑level Olympiads: ICSO, IGKO, ISSO, IHO (no Level‑2 for these).

🎯 Who qualifies for Level‑2?

  • Top 5% of students (class‑wise) in Level‑1
  • Top 25 rank holders (class‑wise) from each zone
  • Class topper from each participating school (≥10 students from that class in Level‑1) scoring ≥50%
  • Note: Final qualifying cut‑offs/allotments are decided by SOF; ties resolved by section‑wise scores and other criteria.

IEO (International English Olympiad) – Level‑2

  • 50 Q • 60 M • 60 min (Classes 5–12)
  • Sections: Word & Structure Knowledge – 35M; Reading – 10M; Achievers – 15M (5×3)

NSO (National Science Olympiad) – Level‑2

  • 50 Q • 60 M • 60 min (Classes 5–10)
  • Sections: Science – 45M; Achievers – 15M (5×3)

IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad) – Level‑2

  • 50 Q • 60 M • 60 min (Classes 5–10)
  • Sections: Mathematics – 45M; Achievers – 15M (5×3)

📚 Syllabus pointers (Class 9–10)

  • IEO: Vocabulary/grammar usage, reading comprehension, functional English; Achievers section at higher difficulty.
  • NSO: Class 9/10 Physics, Chemistry, Biology concepts; HOTS draws from same syllabus.
  • IMO: Algebra, number systems, geometry, mensuration, data handling, coordinate geometry; logical reasoning integrated in many items.

🧭 Preparation Plan (2–4 weeks)

  1. Audit Level‑1 response sheet (if available) to isolate weak topics.
  2. Daily mix: 25 IEO words/idioms • 30–40 min NSO concept drill • 15–20 IMO problems, then 10 Achievers‑style questions.
  3. Mock cadence: 2 full‑length papers per subject per week; aim for ≥85% with ≥12/15 in Achievers.
  4. Error log: maintain a list of traps (units, sign errors, inference questions) and revise every 3 days.
